Carney, a native Southern Californian raised in Newport Beach, California, began working in the family building business with his father, Tom Carney, at the young age of fourteen, and gained a unique education of the building business early in life. The family business, Tom Carney Builders, was the foundation for Carney’s current successful contracting career and became a wealth of knowledge that now differentiates him and his projects from mainstream builders. Craig Carney continued to expand his career as a Subcontractor with hands-on management of foundation and framing work, and in 1992, started General Contracting.
